It looks like there is a notch in the chassis that might interfere with the length of the motors. Otherwise you might have to purchase two of the systems you have chosen to get the performance that you are looking for.
i see that the motor is a 2350 KV does that mean it is slower than a 6000kv or am i missing something?

ok and thanks for the tips on the battery, i will look into it more when im not so tired . . .

It does mean that it is a slower turning motor per volt but the 3674 has much more torque. The 3674 is also a much larger motor which means even more torque. The 550 titans that the e-zilla have look very similar to the e-maxx motors and the C2 system would be an upgrade from those.

yes i do believe that the emaxx has the same motors, i am quite impressed with the brushless technology these days meaning that one brushless motor can be better than two brushed motors! i am happy to take your advice on the motor choice and will look into maybe a 3s lipo to run it instead of just a 2s which is what i was looking for to start me off into the brushless world. ( or maybe a 4s )

i'm having a hard time understanding batteries! why is it that a s2 at 5000mah is the same cost as a 3s with 2300mah? is it better to use a 2s at 5000mah or a 3s at 2300mah? the only thing i can see is the 3s being better for a bl system due to volts but why is the mah lower in the the 3s than the 2s? sorry im very new to electricity lol

thanks guys and dont worry i support the ezrun system and cant wiat to get my head around it all so i can order the bits i require!

Default Hobbywing motors

Hi, im looking to get a 13.5 motor and speedo to race.
I dont want to the best but i want solid performance.
Is a hobbywing motor going to cut it?
Ide expect it to not as tip top as compared to a top of the range trinity or wotever is best at the moment.
But will it be at say 95%...Cheers

I love the HW esc's. But you would be better served with a team epic motor.

Epic/Trinity has some stuff on ebay that is pretty cheap.

Wink try this

There discontinued..Try the 80A Xerun. Its holding up well for me! Hobbypartz mighthave the Ezrun 3665 motor still. You'll have to call and ask. There site only shows the 3674 and states outta stock. But when I called they had the 3665 still even thou the site doesnt show that one motor. I have my XeRun paired with a Kershaw Designs 7XL 2370kv on 4s and its sickSICK Keeps up with the ERBE all day. They also have a really affordable 1/8 combo on Kershaws site. Heres the link...

and its been reviewed on BigSquid RC

Rc fans has all the ez-run and xe-run systems.

I dont think hobby wing makes the 80a/150a ezrun systems anymore. I havnt seen them in some time. The xe-run are better but do cost a little more but also have better features.

If your wanting a sensorless system I would look into the 8th scale SC system.

Thought the old 80a/150a systems was discontinued

I have the 60a 8.5t combo. I was experienceing cogging last winter when I was running it in a kyosho zx5. I am switching to on road and am thinking of getting a 17.5 motor for the stock class, but am a bit worried about wasting my $ if the cogging will still be going on. I would think cogging on a onroad car would be a even larger problem. Does anyone run the sensorless systems for on road?

I would suggest you get the xe-run 60a for onroad. Very nice esc that has tons of features and you can use sensored motors that will eliminate cogging all together.

I use a 35a ezrun and 3900kv motor for messing around on a asphault onroad track, It cogs but at very low speeds (1-2 mph) after that it is smooth sailing.

I was wondering why the higher power EZRUN products were out of stock everywhere. If somebody knows for sure about the discontinuation of the products, please confirm.

As a substitute, I was planning on piecing together a combo using the 100A Hobbyking speed controller and a KD35-74 motor. I have not decided on which KV motor yet.

DO NOT GET ANY KD MOTOR.

They are the worst things you can buy.I have 2 of them.(And I still want my 60$ back......)Both overheat after 10mins....Even when free revving....I have one L sized 3500kv on a hyper mini ste(1/12 truck) and it overheats very easily.(geared for 75kmh - a normal L sized motor wouldn't have ANY problem).

As for the esc,that I have it too,it's very good.Efficient,good quality,normal size,doesn't gets hot easily(3s and L motor - even overgeared),etc.
If you need sensored esc get the 150A esc (hobbyking again) but check the size at first (it's huge)

A motor you can get is one of those Leopard.(a motor that has more poles has more torque too - Leopard has 4 pole motors too)BUT if the price of a Leopard is the same with a known brand motor don't buy Leopard.Get a Tekin,Castle or Novak

Sry for the long post (and the off-topic)

Tekin,Castle and Novak are all 2 pole but their quality makes them superior.(They could outpower a chinese 4 pole motor easily)

I actually found KDs products. The ESCs are available on OKHobby and Ive seen the motors on ALIExpress asian wholesale type site. Nothing was "made to his specs or personal design" as Dan makes you think. So..The esc's are reliable? There extremely cheap on the mentioned site. The purple KD "Revolver" hasnt givin me any issues yet. Lots of power and speed paired with my XeRun 80A on 4s. No heat issues so far. I have a large heatsink and hobbywing fan on it aswell. Between that fan and the XeRuns fan theres LOTS of air moving under the lid. Everythings coool....
