If you are limited by your wallet, like me (and many others) Just get whatever lipo you can afford. I have cheap Yeah Racing 3200 20c lipos. I have had them for about 18 months, never ballanced and I use them just for racing with an Assoc T4 with H/wing 60A and a novak 6.5. I get about 7-9 minutes run time and I won our clubs last open mod truck season with this set up. (mind you one of the batteries is getting a bit dull and will be replaced very soon)

wwwoooaaa wayy off.

Nothing to do with the batteries if its just cutting out. theres a good chance it is becuse of the transponder uve started using..Check the thread out about the guy who "kited" his car. they found out in there that there is a transponder interference.

Another option would be to get the 5900kv TACON motor. It's very smooth off power. You get the same performance as the 5.5T with smoother off power operation. Just keep in mind that the TACON motor is about 50g heavier than the eZRun and comes with 4mm bullets instead of 3.5mm on your ESC.

It wouldn't hurt to try before spending money on a 60A ESC. The ESC has built-in thermal protection so it will shut off if it gets too hot. You'll know if the motor is too much for the ESC or not if it shuts off often.

Default Thottle ATV trim ?s

Hopefully someone can help me out here....

I picked up a stocker SC10 tx/rx from my buddy to run in my Tamiya M04 with the ezrun 35a / 13T combo. The radio has Throttle ATV settings (both Hi and Lo).
How should I have these set when I go through the programming process? Should I max them out, then go through the calibration/setup process....or should I leave them at Neutral, calibrate the esc, then turn them to the max? Everything thing I've seen and read says it depends on the esc...

Sorry for the newbish questions in advance!

Thanks
Steve

I was answering post 7185130 by kdn so I reckon I got it right.

About the start stop problem. I had a very similar thing happen and mine turned out to be a broken wire on the esc fan. It must have been shorting every now and then and somehow causing intermittent signal.

Ive got a EZrun 60A new in box. I was going to use it for a 1:10 off road truck project but had to use funds to repair current touring car. PM me if your interested.

Nope because the male end is 4mm and female is 3.5mm. If it was backwards ie 4mm female 3.5mm male then it could work.

I am looking to run the eZrun 8.5T 60A in my SC10.

Would you recommend this?

That combo should work fine in a SC truck.

i got an EZrun v2 60a speedo in my TA-05 rain car

and this speedo worked all day in really really wet conditions , it never missed a beat and i am well impressed with the speedo

i was using an LRP 13.5 motor and my settings were max timing , max punch , min neutral zone with a gearing of 4.0 but could do with some more speed so will add 2 teeth to the pinion for the next rain race

no real replacment to the Tekin RS and 13.5 race car i use but i had great fun spashing in the rain and i collected some points for my championship

What gearing is recommended when using the 8.5t 60A in a short course (SC10)?

Would a 5.5t be overkill for shortcourse (8th scale track)?
