Redzone, i got a question. The other day, i used a 3 cell Lipo with 40c on my ezrun combo, 5.5T with 60A ESC. I am able to play for 2-3 minutes on track and cut-off. Thats fine, so i turn it off and call off the day. The next day, i tried it again for about 30 sec and when i do ful throtle i heard " cling cling" sound and i can only turn left or right, not moving forward or reverse. I bring my car to local rc shop and they found out that i fried my 60A ESC. I thought it support 3 cell LIPO???? By the way, when i tested it, i only do half throttle cause its too fast for me to handle. Sorry for the newbie question.

You pushed ESC too much...
If you read specs for 60a ESC, it says that with 3 cell lipo you have to use motors with 8.5 and up turns... Take a look at attached image.

If you are asking me what C-rate on battery you should get - well depends.
I have 5000mAh with 20C (const) 30C (burst). And that's more than enough.
This battery by spec should give 100A (20 x 5A) const current and 150A (30 x 5A) burst current.

Basically you need something that should give 60A or more const current (You want more, because if you stress battery near it's limits, you are shortening it's life time).

My suggestion is:
Turnigy 5000mAh 2s Lipo 20c/30c const/burst and it's $20 + shipping you can't find better bargain... And it's not bad lipo at all.

Hope I have answered your question.

Has anyone tried the 35a-13t combo in a M chassis. I was looking for a lower kv motor to compare with my sport tuned black can and these systems seem very cheap" affordable".

I had the 13T/35amp combo, ran it a 2wd buggy, 1/1ioth pan car, and just recently in my touring car. It was fast, reliable and a very underrated system. The motor has deep fins for keeping the motor cool. The only weak spot was the switch, but soldered in a micro switch and from then on it was a very good system. I just recently sold it on Ebay and plan on buying the 65amp/17.5 system.

Opp, shoot...BearPaw, thanks for the attached image. That 3 minutes was expensive. Careless of myself. Gess...Thats history. I just got an LRP SXX TC spec with 4T brushless....Do u think it can handle 3 cell lipo? If not, can u tell me which RC hobbier wil need 3 cell battery? Thanks in advance.

According to LRP it can't. I went to their site and by their specs it can handle 4-7 cell NiMh or 2 cell Lipo... Trying 3 cell lipo will probably fry it.
Just buy 2cell lipo... That's great ESC. In one of mine previous posts you can find link to cheap ($20) 2s 5000mah lipo...

Here is attached image part of specs.

Shouldnt you use hard case lipos in RC cars??
or does it not really matter, I guess they are safe sitting on the chassis

Hhhm, to be honest I haven't thought much about it.

Well it's less safe than hard case lipo, that's for sure. You just have to be careful when you install it on car. To attach it really good...

You can make Do-It-Yourself case...
One of examples is to make clay mold of battery. Put it in some smaller plastic bottle, then put everything into preheated oven and it shrinks like a shrink tube around mold. But before you do that READ MORE about this subject... Because of safety.
