HW says only down to a 9t for a 35amp

has anyone gotten enough courage to open up the 9T 4300kv? would really love to change the wires and make em longer and more flexible.

Need a bit of advise. I've been in RC for about 15years, and I'm going to bite the brushless bullet, and I'm not sure about how these motors are rated against their brushed brothers. I read the WHOLE post, and saw someone say that the 9T(380) is like a good 19T(540) brushed? I'm going to be picking up a Traxxas slash, and I'm going to get the 60A version, but I don't know if I should go with the 5.5T, or the 8.5T. These are the only package options avaibable right now.

I know I want it faster than the stock Slash, but I still want it controllable. I don't want to wheelie every time I hit the throttle.

Let me know soon I'm going to order it toady.

Well I just placed an order for a 60A 8.5T. I just hope it's fast enough.

I can only compare the 19t brushed & 9t bl in a 1/10 2wd buggy but the 9t is way, way faster and has a heap more power. I will never go back.

That's great news. Your using a 35A with a 9T 380 sized motor right? I would think the 8.5T 540 sized motor would have a lot more punch from the 9T, just because has the ability to create more torque. Thanks for the info!

I have a 60A with the 9t. I dont know if the 60A gives any more power but I think it would be better suited to lower turns and would not heat up so much.
Good luck with yours. I am pretty sure you will have plenty of power.

No I don't think that you can use a sensorless motor with a sensored ESC
