Default Losi Speed T + High mAh batteries on public road! :P

So today after work at 3 am at night, I decided I wanted to try and drive my Losi Speed T home. I had my friend drive me car and I was driving the Speed T. It was way coooooool!

I had a 7 cell 5000mah Venom battery that had about 15 minutes of hard running on it from earlier in the day and I was only able to drive it for about 1 mile before I started to see it lose its power.

I was only able to hold a speed of 45 MPH on this almost dead battery for that mile.

So now I really want to do this with a lipo battery and some lights on the car so It would be more visible at night and alot cool'er. I also want to record it on my camera and post it up on youtube. Maby set a speed t record or something...

Anyway, I had a question about the lipo batteries and how to connect them.

1. Can I some how connect two high mAh lipo batteries to double the mAh and have a very long run time?

2. If it is possible to connect two batteries like that, would the AMP's be to high for the ESC to handle from multiple batteries?

3. Would the motor be able to handle wide open or near wide open throttle for a few miles? Im not going to bash it, just driving it fast for a while. I dont think that going to put to much strain on the motor, unlike constant stop and go.

4. Im planning to connect the lights to a different power source so that's not a problem.

5. Does any one have any tips/ideas/info for meh?

Thank you for your time...

OMG!!!!

HOW ABOUT THIS!!!

http://www.maxamps.com/Lipo-10000-Cell.htm

# NEW COPPER TAB CELLS!
# 10000mah Capacity
# 3.7 Volts
# 59mm X 155mm X 10mm
# Maximum Continuous Discharge 100 amps
# Burst to 200-300 amps
# 200 grams

Can I make a 3S pack out of this? Would this work with the Losi Speed T?

I found some specs for the Losi Speed T ESC

ESC Specifications
Input voltage: NiMH 6-12 Cells or 7.2-14.4V; LiPo 2-3 Cells or 7.4-11.1V
VEC: 6.0V / 3A
Operating Current: 100A continuous; 540A peak
Motor Limit: 3.5T or higher sensored brushless motors
On-Resistance:0.00040
Low Voltage Cutoff: Adjustable via program card or PC interface
Drive Profiles: Multipe with program card; unlimited with PC interface
Operating Frequency: Spread spectrum optimized or traditional radio systems
Dimensions (WxLxH): 1.1 x 1.54 x 1.3 in (29.5 x 39 x 33.2mm); height without fan installed: 0.9in (23mm)
Weight: 1.7 oz (48 g) without lead wires

It sounds like it can handle 100AMPS but if I make a 3 cell pack out of the above would it be 100AMPS or 300AMPS?

1)According to your ESC specs you can run 3cell lipos. 11.1volts

2)The cell you posted is a single cell 3.7volt. You would need to wire 3 of these cells to make a 3cell pack @11.1volts. And the capacity would stay at 10,000mah. Wich is an isnane amoutn of run time. If you wanted 20,000mah of run time you would need 6 cells wired in a series-parallel confing. Basically 3 pairs are parallel to double the capacity and then wired in series

3)The battery has nothing to do with what your ESC will take in max amp load, Your motor, gear ratio, tranny, tires and surface will create the load and max amp draw from your ESC.

4)Your continuos current is the same for that cell and ESC so no worries. For peak or burst the cell is slightly lower then the ESC's rating witch means the battery would be your weak point. I would not worry too much about it.

5) Im not sure if series or parallel will double the continuous 100amps to 200amps. I think the cell is limited at 100amps regardless Maybe someone that is a little more fresh out of electronics class could confirm this
