Default TEAM WAVE Lightning Discharger V2 !

Dear All,

I would like to represent TEAM WAVE to announce that Lightning V2 discharge/Equalizing tray will release soon. Although apperance is the same, several features were added:

1/ 20Amp pulse discharge (Discharge a fully charged 4200mah battery in less than 30min !! Twice faster than competitor 30Amp discharge and battery will only gets warm)
2/ Maximum 6A linear discharge
3/ Advanced A.C.C.S (adaptive current control system, automatically adjust discharge current to keep battery at cutoff voltage)
4/ Dead short mode and extended cutoff voltage ( cutoff voltage: 0.00V, 0.70V-1.20V)
5/ Build in buzzer
6/ Reverse battery alarm
7/ Non polar power supply design
8/ Higher power internal fan (from Sunon)
9/ Lead Free, ROHS compliant

Price will NOT higher than before!

Regards,
TEAMWAVE

How is a 20amp discharge faster than a 30amp discharge? Please explain the method so that all may understand.

Also is the unit self powered or require a DC power source to operate?

Pulse discharge buddy, so the time that it pulses "on" at 20A is long enough to discharge faster than another tray that pulses at 30A.

Pulse discharge is controlled by turn on and turn off of the discharge MOSFET. The time required to discharge a pack is goverened by the discharge current during ON portion and how long it takes for rest (the OFF portion).

For example, some 30amp discharge system ON/OFF ratio is 1:5 (discharge 30Amp for 0.5sec and rest 2.5sec), in average it is 30/6 = 5Amp discharge.

Lightning V2 ON/OFF ratio is about 1:1, in average it is 20/2 = 10Amp discharge.

That's why it is twice faster than 30Amp discharge!

In this version, the unit can still function if the power supply is reversed! It will work no matter how you plug it, just 12.0V - 13.8V supply is okay.

Okay, understood. These Amp numbers are per cell right?

Here's a question for the battery guys, does the battery perform better at the pulsed 20amp or the pulsed 30amp discharge? Especially the IBs because they are so sensitive.

OHˇˇˇ, is good and bad news, for me. I purchase recently a teamwave discharge tray, please make a update firmware for v.1. But, i think is not posible, for the hardware differencies. In the other hand, this work very good, my batteries seem news now.

Cheers.
