Default 13.5 dilemma...SP or Hacker? (please read, not the usual...)

OK, so I'm in the market for a 13.5 brushless setup. I'll be running the Tekin RS ESC. Yes, I've read the entire Hacker thread as well as the entire Speed Passion thread. I want to run something different from the Novaks and LRPs that every single other racer at our track seems to run. I think I understand the differences, so I'm just looking for opinions.

It's Saturday afternoon, I've had a few beers after sitting in the sun for hours, so my inhibitions are down and I'm not afraid to ask:

Speed Passion or Hacker for 13.5 rubber asphalt touring car?

Fire away.

Trinity has nice motors with a little more venting, Putnam Propulsion is tuning then as everyone was with Co-27's and so far they FLY.

Never used Hacker, but have used Novak and SP.

SP and Trinity are both FEIGAO based motors. I now use an Express motor (OEM'd from Trinity) and I like it best so far.

Default Express 13.5

Does that Express motor come with a sintered rotor?

All feigao based are Sintered, I'm pretty sure no one is using bonded anymore.

Having never seen either in action, I'm under the impression that the Hacker is faster (in fact, the fastest).

to answer the question,

I have both motors, I practiced with both motors at paved Nationals, I went with Speedpassion, it worked out pretty good for me.

I have yet to take the motor out and "service" it, and its still kicking butt.

Yeah, I've heard so many good stories like that about SP and was just about to pull the trigger when I sat down and read the whole Hacker thread. I'm nowhere near national level and I'm sure I'll be more than happy with whichever one I choose.

Anyone else have an opinion??

They are all fast when geared correctly.

Just buy one and put some wheel time in.

Doesn't matter how fast the motor is if your smackin boards.

SpeedPassion, because it has the handheld programmer so you don't have to watch blinking lights anymore.

I'm talking motors, not ESCs. I have a Tekin RS ESC and the Hotwire setup, so I'm tuning it with the laptop.

Give the Hacker a try. I am yet to see a motor faster on the track then the Hacker motors.

If you ever have a problem with it we stand behind all our products.
