Had a good day of testing with the new R9-R body today at my home track. This was my first time running the R9R and all I can say is WOW!!!

I ran the body on my Mi3.5 and ran the new Jaco blues, and 10.5BL motor. Ran the car with Schumacher blue springs up front(16lbs), and whites in the rear(14lbs), 2.5 rear toe, and the mounted the wing on the rear hole on the wing mount. Car was really good...I was able to run my fastest lap times with 10.5 and Jaco blues with the new R9R.

Follow up to my testing. Figured out that apparently after a few laps the tires would get sticky and the car would lean so hard into the corner the body would drag and cause the spinning. I trimmed the body up and all is good. It just seems really rock stable to me but can transition really quick. I know the other guys that have been trying this body are probably on top of this sort of thing but, if you were having a problem with the rear being loose make sure the body wasn't dragging. I actually have made no set up changes to my car and the body feels great.

I too have found my fastest lap times with this body. Faster by three tenths in fact.

Have raced with my new shell on a new TA05r straight out the box for 2 weeks at my local track and think its fantastic!
The track is tight and low grip concrete and I have struggled in the past to get a balance between understeer into corners and oversteer coming out.
With the R9R shel the front grip is amazing and I have only found a lack of rear grip under braking into the hairpin which actually helps!

Contrary to my first post in here... I saw one yesterday and it looked hooked up in 13.5 rubber on carpet.

Changing my set up slightly and will be giving the body another shot again this weekend. I'm going to test it against the speed 6. This will be on a parking lot sprayed with VHT.

I tried it again last night changing my set up very slightly. I went longer on the rear camber link. This settled it down quite a bit. I am going to try a higher roll center in the rear as well. And maybe take the rear sway bar off if the roll center thing doesn't work. The first thing I am going to try is stiffer front springs again and maybe some softer rear oil.

This was using the box stock settings for the TC5R as a starting point.
