Default parking lot racers

I am wondering if there are any classes worth running outside of tc on parking lots such as 1/12th scale w/ rubbers.

Our local racing does Oval (Pan Car) and TC's w/ rubber tires in the highschool parking lot.

It's probably smooth enough for 1/12th scale - but some of those guys want a 'PERFECT' surface.

I'm hoping we can get interest in a 200mm or a 235mm On-Road Pan car class sometime in the future.

Things are headed towards a return of the SWT Series, but for
2017 the focus will be on the Encino Velodrome (and dirt oval racing)

I have never seen 1/12 outside of a permanent track or on carpet. Just too low to the ground and parts are expensive since its a small market.

Trans Am class.
2wd Gearbox (any off-road car to try and get off road guys into on-road)
Most 1/18th classes are great for parking lot races.

1/12th scale works great in the parking lot. Everyone here runs a ride height between 5 & 6mm.

Don't forget 1/10 stadium trucks and buggies. No issue with ground clearance or bumpy tracks!

....we run virtually any class we can get people to show up with.

We do run the 1/18th scale Losi Sliders and Losi Late Models too.

(We don't do nitro due to NOISE and INSURANCE issues)

What 1/12 is one of the least expensive R/C cars To answer the OP's question we run tc, both oval and road, stadium truck, slash, minis, pancar. I've tried 1/12 here but the lot we're running on is too bumpy and as its not sprayed just blown off, the tracktion just is'nt good enough.

Mini Class is definately a Great Parking Lot class!

We run TC's in a GT class (27t or 17.5) Trans Am, Mini and 1/12th here on a parking lot track. The track is sprayed with juice/water mix and 12th scales have great traction on it!

The track also sits on a pretty good angle /

Trans Am is hands down the best parking lot class that currently exists.

Follow the national association rules and it's a blast:
