Default EVER WANTED TO DESIGN THE PERFECT INDOOR TRACK/FACILITY? MAYBE YOU CAN

Ever wanted to design the perfect indoor on road track/facility? Maybe you can. Answer each of the following questions and who knows maybe your wants will become reality.

1) I would rather have,,, A) a typical flat carpet track. or B) a rolling (elevation changes) asphalt track

2) I would rather have,,, A) permanent curbing. or B) typical boards and flappers.

3) I would pay more to race if the pit area is air conditioned. True or False

4) I like a driver stand to be,,, A) 5ft high B) 7ft high C) 9ft high at the platform.

5) I like the driver stand handrail to be,,, A) low and out of the way B) high enough to lean forward on

6) The best day for me to race on is usually,,, A) Saturday B) Sunday

7) I feel that big events should have a cap on entries and be limited to three days in length,,, True or False

8) I would like to see race promoters/hosts limit the classes the cater to in order to create larger classes,,, True or False

B, but not too extreme..

2) I would rather have,,, A) permanent curbing. or B) typical boards and flappers.

Outside boarder A inside boarder B so a change of layout is possible..

3) I would pay more to race if the pit area is air conditioned. True or False

True, hell yeah....

4) I like a driver stand to be,,, A) 5ft high B) 7ft high C) 9ft high at the platform.

Size of track would determine this.... Say 60 x 120 B

5) I like the driver stand handrail to be,,, A) low and out of the way B) high enough to lean forward on

B safety reasons...

6) The best day for me to race on is usually,,, A) Saturday B) Sunday
A football on Sundays

7) I feel that big events should have a cap on entries and be limited to three days in length,,, True or False

False

8) I would like to see race promoters/hosts limit the classes the cater to in order to create larger classes,,, True or False
True, too many classes takes away from the racing...

Well most setups for indoor are too low for much of an elevation change. If the change was gradual enough and didn't pose a danger of cars flying off into spectators due to the elevation changes that would be cool...but I'd like it carpeted.

Neither...permanent curbing is too restrictive for layouts and typical boards are ugly. I think some sort of rubber molded islands in different shapes would be cool then it would be like permanent but moveable.

This is actually a legal and building code issue. Chances are you won't have a choice.

6) A
7) True
8) False (all putting class limits does is decrease attendance, and not create larger classes)

1) Both! I like the challenge of a rolling and REALISTIC asphalt track and the speed of a carpet track.

2) A. Because when you hit, it doesn't move on you.

3) True

4) B.

5) A. doesn't get in the way of other racers.

6) Both

7) False. I like endurance races so the more the merrier! I'd even go with four days straight.

8) False. Pack too many people into something and you're bound to run out of time, space or both.

False... Wouldn't need that in the UK for the 3 days of summer we have

4) I like a driver stand to be,,, C) 9ft high at the platform.

5) I like the driver stand handrail to be,,, B) high enough to lean forward on

6) The best day for me to race on is usually,,, A) Saturday

27t 6 cell and 19t/10.5 but allow any cell type... I'd like to think (although in reality it probably it wouldnt happen) that the novices could run 27t and the more experienced race 19t/10.5... Something for everyone.
