the HB cyclone is the best, very fast car out of the box and great support (pro setup sheets, lots of other people use them, LHS usually carries the parts). Contrary to what was stated on the first page, it is not a fragile car, that is, if you use the parts made of their stiffer plastic. I have had my car for over a year, and i have not broken a single suspension part (hubs, arms, links, .....) since I bought it. I'm not kidding you. And i am not exactly the cleanest driver either. I have only needed to do the normal maintainance from wear and tear (not crashes) like refilling shock fluid, rebuilding diffs, etc etc... Plus, XRAY is WAAAAYYYY overpriced, its like a Mercedes, youre paying most of the money for the badge.

Asking this question is like asking a group of people what there favorite color is...
Everyone has there opinion and Nobody is really wrong.....

That said My vote is for the Losi Type-R, I've owned a BMI Cyclone which is #2 on my list of Favs. Xray t2 and a 007, an MI3, FT TC4, a Serpet S400 and corally both an rdx and a phi, Keep looking back to the Losi cause that just what I like and I do well with it. It also helps that the parts are extremely cheap.....

Default listen he knows

it's true Ron's been thru more cars than me.....
the difference is ....He knows how to drive em....:nod

I'm partial to Yokomo but parts can be a bit pricey at times...

Type R is a darn good car...and as Ron stated parts are low cost.

at the end of day....just go with what will make you happy.

even if it's a old pile shizze... :P
as long as you get to race it...it's all good.

i think LRP did an add campain with the slogan "blue is better"

no car is neccesarily faster than the other, they do however pose a convenience factor into the equation. There is price, parts support, tunablitly, forgivability, the ease of use factor, durability, popularity, etc, etc, the list goes on.

No, i won't go without mentioning a type R (nomatter however tuned) will probably never feel like a cyclone, or a cyclone will probably never feel like a tamiya, and so on. It all depends on the driver and how he is used to driving a certain car.

Bottom line, a pile of stank can be fast in the hands of the right driver, but the supposively "best TC out there" will never be fast if it is in the hands of stank.
