Default Axon Razorback - something a little different

Hey all,
I'm new to this forum but post alot on RCgroups and other R/C forums.
Just thought I'd let you know about a new product thats coming out soon.
Its a brushless ground efx machine similar to a hovercraft but without the ugly blowup skirt.

This is the ad going in Rc Car Action and Xtreme RC Car for the October issues.

Our website is axonracing.com
Works great on a dirt(clay) oval track but best on pavement.
Enjoy!

are there any "underbody" shots?

is the stiff price just for the electronics, or is there something special under there?

Its dual brushless motors, BL esc's, Lexan. Most cars you would pay that for non brushless. But this is almost a cross between a car and an rc jet.

It essentially a hovercraft without the skirt and foam instead... I like ... That would make them cool to jump.

heres a jumping video I shot a few months ago of an earlier prototype. when it hit the ground it rolled a few times and eventually landed right side up,
but it was totally unharmed. This thing is really indestructable!

So when does the carpet oval version come out?

Lower lighter foam? Teflon Coated Bottom. Offset Fanduct.

Its really light already and runs on carpet extremely well... I ran it on a carpet oval here in upstate ny. It drifts alot being a hovercraft...
teflon might be a good coating for more durability but you can get 300 or more uses out of one "skid". The skid is the bottom piece that is designed to be replaceable.

so josh, do you have any other RC experience or is this just a product you have created to bring into the RC world?

Thanks
-Kyle

the game wipeout (and starwars pod racing) were my inspiration here.
I have alot of experience with rc planes and jets, thats how I got into making this "land rocket".
I'm fairly new to rc cars though - but it seems like the car people like this hovercraft the most!

needs azimuth pods for carpet.

How well do those razorbacks fair in side by side racing? Do they flip and roll or do they just bump and rub?
