a believer now huh?

rod_b.. id run super shotski diode along with the hyperbooster(s).... that way the diode will blow up first before the hyperbooster(s). robert pls correct me if im wrong on this.

from my conversations with robert... everything mike posted is correct.

the new VFS has higher frequencies because in Japan, they run 8 mins, instead of the usual 5 we run here. plus no one ever really dipped down to stage 1 or 2 in the current VFS escs.. i think im one of the few that actually set my escs that low. 500hz instead of the new 900hz that will be on VFS-1

well, you shouldnt really have to ever go that low on the settings...lol

of course everything I posted is correct, I am the non-official Ko guru

and in mod, you dont need the hyper boosters. just enough shottkys, and make sure you dont have your brake set above about 65 percent on the radio...

Try using a higher frequency say about 3200Hz. This will give you a little more efficiency, save the com and brushes, a give you a little more runtime.

I will! but doesn't higher the freq cause more heat?
I know lower causes more arcing.

well, I dont know about the arcing and all that, but all the higher freq. is doing is, when the speedo gives power to the motor, it does it in pulses, higher freq, means more on/offs per second (Hz, or times per second), which will make it more efficient. but you probably already knew that...

Default Repair Service

Ko propo Staff-

Were do I send in a VFS speedo that I need to have repaired?
I friend was using my car with his batterys and his batterys are switched from mine, and it got wired backwards. About how much does the repair service cost?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Scott- If the PC board is not damaged (most likely it is) only the fets will need to be replaced. Each fet is $5.00. A new PC board complete with fets is $60.00. Plus labor and shipping. It all depends on what is damaged. Send it in to KO directly and I will take a look at it. Include contact info.
