Default Major Kudos To Novak

I remember a message on this forum a couple of weeks ago blasting Novak. I had been a little irritated with Novak because I had a few GTS ESCs die over the last year and was considering adding my frustration to the prior thread, however, I figured it was best to let it go and I didn't post on that thread.

I wanted to throw my two cents in regarding a recent situation I had with them as I just got my replacement ESCs back from them today……I feel complelled to give them some credit for handling a situation very well. Here's the story......

Just by coincidence, at the time that the prior thread appeared, I was sending in (3) Novak GTS for repair. I didn’t really want to get (3) new GTS ESCs back because I’ve since upgraded to the GTX model which seems like a more heavy duty ESC and meets my needs. I included a letter that asked Novak if I could swap my (3) dead GTS ESCs (retail about $60-70) for (1) GTX (retail about $150-180). I figured that would be a fair swap and I’d get at least 1 ESC that would actually do the job that I needed it to do.

Instead, what I got back today was (2) GTX ESCs (remember, I only asked for 1) for the (3) dead GTS. Absolutely, first class. And, I got everything back in 2 weeks, including the shipping time which was probably 3-4 days each way.

I had been considering switching to a different brand of speed controls but Novak just kept my business …………..

maybe i can get a XRS!!!

good luck with them, i'm shocked they'd do something like that.

I'm not shocked at all, that sounds exactly like something they would do. Their customer service is top notch.

Had 2 original Cyclones from 96' and now a GTB and GTB w/Lipo cut-off.
Not a single problem! Great customer service when I had questions!

I may not like their products, but their customer service has always been absolutely amazing. Nobody can say they don't care about their customers!

Have you ever seen another company completely wire a car for you at the track? I've see Novak do it a couple times. Thanks go out to Steve and Charlie.

novak has always had great consumer service I have sent in about 5 escs and every one came fast and fixed the only flaw I see is the gtb its way too overloaded especially with the new 2.5 and 3.5 they should have opted to use 48 fets instead of 24 but great products never heasitate to buy from novak

My first experience with Novak Electronics was 6 years ago: I hooked a new millianum charger up backwards (rookie mistake) I sent it back with a note telling them how bad I screwed up. They sent me a new charger under warenty.

At the off road worlds in Fl. , Bob Novak not only up-graded an older esc, he then GAVE me back my original one for FREE.

Since then I have been a big fan of their products and support.
Last year at the Snowbirds my wife's esc acted up. Charlie and Steve put a new one in and did all the set-up so she could race all week.

I bought 2 new Novak 13.5 brushless set-ups before I left the Snowbirds.(from Superiour Hobbbies ) and am glad I did.

NOVAK ROCKS. I am not a sposored driver just a happy customer.

Thumbs up

I wont run any other ESC other than Novak because, from personal experience, their customer service is absolutely the best in the business!

At the 2003 IFMAR Worlds in Tampa, I was having trouble with my ESC - I want to say it was a cyclone, don't remember exactly - but Bob Novak gave me a brand new GT7 right there at the event and helped me get the programing being used by team drivers, since I had never used one before.

Top notch service always!!
