Angry Tamiya Surikarn edition

HELP!! I've purchase the Surikarn limited edition Evo III and I cannot get the screw to attach in the middle of the differential! There has to be an easier way to get this done. It seems as if the screw is just too short for it to hit the nut. Is anybody else having a problem with this, or is it just me? I have been stuck on this part for 2 days now and it is driving me insane!
thanks in advance
vic

That little cup with the 2 ears that the 2mm nyloc nut sits in... is
that causing the problem?

Push it in using a small stick, or the end of the dogbone. Push it
in whilst turning the diff screw at the same time - it should catch
on pretty quickly.

When I do it, I usually have the screw pointing 'upwards' and
gravity usually drops the eared cup down towards it anyway.

This is all assuming you've got the right bits in the right place.
But you should be ok as there's not too many other bits in the box
that can be substituted...

now that it's "another day", i will try again. i tried pushing the cup down towards the screw because i though maybe the spring in between was causing it to be to high, but to no avail. i'll let you know what happens. it's probably something stupid and i'm just not seeing it yet.
if you have any more advice, let me know
thanks

thanks for all the replies and a big thanks to my buddy John!! I took it in to work this morning and he got it in in one shot. I guess I just needed somebody else to look at it for me. I don't think I had the nut all the way down in the locknut and maybe the bearings weren't pushed all the way down. Anyway, it's in and I'm back in business

Vic,

OK, I registered on the board. You are welcome, it was all luck putting your diff together. OK, maybe the 6 other cars I built helped. So, will you get that car done already, let's hit the track on Friday!

John
