Default antennae cutting?

well i just had the wire casing come of the antennae wire on my 75mghz novak switch receiver. I know running with the wire like that i am going to glitch like crazy can i just cut the wire off its about the top 6" of the antennae that is like this.

If only the plastic sheath came off, I would recommend putting some heat shrink around it or replacing the antenna wire while you have the length to compare. Cutting the wire shorter will cause interference.

Wouldn't you be able to fix that by putting some heat shrink tubing on it.

I need to find heat shrink small enough right now my smallest size is still too big
