Default SMA - Australia

Probably the Tekin 17.5 combo here.

Anyone running the Tekin motor and esc are running awesome times. Some guys have picked up 0.5-1sec on their normal times.

My new(ish) SP 17.5 and LRP Stock Spec ESC have helped me about 0.2-0.3sec a lap, but I had to spend $400 on the combo. Tekin being sold for $285 .

Default Tekin 17.5

I have recently changed to the Tekin 17.5 (was running the Speed Passion 17.5) and have not noticed any difference in top speed or punch.

Will be interesting to see what differences adjusting the timing will make.

From my own exp and what I have seen the Duo based motors rule. They have the speed of the novak with the bottom end of the SP motors.

I would also say the Duo 2's because of the ease of timing adjustment. I have not run one yet myself. Most of the guys I know are currently running these and live them. Either that or the ballistic series from Novak.

good luck on you choice,

I have run the Tekin redline and the Duo series 17.5s, and the Duo's definitly feel stronger across the board. A tick more power in the low end, and noticably faster at WOT. I don't have any experience with any other motors, so i can't comment on them.

Duo2 with an SPX is my favorite combo. And like stated before, it's easy to accurately adjust the timing with the Duo2's.
