Default Protoform Altima

Has anyone tried this body yet? I've been running the Honda Accord Sedan on both my TC3 and Impulse, but Protoform has discontinued the 190mm .

I'm looking for a worthy replacement for both cars, since I want to continue running the same body on them. I liked that the Accord seemed to have a bit of an Aero bias towards the front over the Stratus' "Balanced" feel. I like the aggressive look of the Altima, but I'm concerned that the "swoopy" nose probably hurts the Aero on this body...

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ive got a 200mm on my Vision. I like it, it looks cool and i own a full size Altima so it was a must have. Drives fine but i noticed a little push from my GS body.

Thanks, KK. What body came with your Vision? Accord? Stratus? It would help me get a comparison.

The body that comes with the GS Vision is: (ironically enough ) the GS Vision "S" body.

It is safe to say that "S" stand for the old stratus... especially because half a glance could tell you this.

The rear wing sucks on the 190mm Altima. I'd replace it with a Stratus 2.0 wing.

Stratus and Vauxhall are great. I have a new Alfa 2.0 but haven't raced it yet.

hey i'm wondering if the alfa 2.0 from protoform is any better then the alfa from losi and if so how??? all i know is that the alfa will give u a lil more steering entering the turns and suppose to work really good w/ foams on the car. i never tryed it out yet so is it better then the stratus 2.0???

Actually what I found when I switched bodies during the same practice session was that the Stratus 2.0 gave more steering than the Alfa 2.0. But the Alfa had more over all balance and downforce. I think that the Stratus didn't really have more steering, but it was that the rear did not have as much down force, resulting with the feel of more steering. In other words... Alfa has same steering as the Stratus, but the Alfa also has more rear downforce as well. Hope I didn't confuse anyone haha. That is just how I feel from that experience. Perhap if I would put an Alfa wing on a Stratus 2.0 it might be different? I might try that later on.

I've tried the Altima on my XXX-S, and I noticed that it made it push pretty badly. I went back to a Losi Alfa, and the problem was solved.

The Altima is a sweet looking body - perhaps some adjustments to the car would have eliminated the push, but I don't like making unnecessary adjustments if I don't have to. Too paranoid I'll screw something up.

Yeah, I have run the altima. Low front downforce and quite pushy. I ran it back to back with a Stratus 2.0 and and gave it away after that. I think the greenhouse is a little tall, and you really have to slam the body to get it out of the wind.

Thanks for the help guys... It looks like maybe I'll reconsider using "Old Faithful" (the original Stratus), or maybe try out the new Alfa.
