Default "It was worth a second a lap..."

Let's work together here gentlemen.

I am regularly told, or read, about different setups being worth "a second a lap".

My theory is that if I can make 12 of these changes to my car, I will be able to warp the space/time continuum and lap in approximately minus 0.71secs.

This is rubber on carpet by the way.

As far as I know, big pulleys and a different top deck design are both worth one second.

Any other killer tuning tips?

10 amp + charge rate always seems to do the trick.

I mostly see .1 second per lap. Guess it depends on the track. If the track is a mile long then big deal. Everyone seems to leave that bit of information out.

golden, sosidge.

i think the most common "adjustment" that's worth a second a lap is a chassis swap. not the chassis plate, but changing manufacturers altogether. i swear there's something in that little tube of black grease that comes with every new kit ... someone should get that recipe!

Get Baker or Toso, etc. to drive your car. That really is worth at least 1 second per lap.

Six-degree turnbuckles are worth about a half-a-second a lap..., but my fav is adding o-rings to reduce the steering slop for 1.314 secs a lap.
