I always loved the m8 and then my M11 but I gave them up for the spektrum DX3R that radio is awesome....Lightweight ergonomic 4 AA's all the features you could ask for .....You guys should take a look at it......But still the M11 still is a rock solid preformer bar none and I wouldnt pass one up...But this DX3R is SSSSSWWWWEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTT...

It's because it's the one the pros use/or were given free.

Airtronics use to be the radio of choice for (most)pros. Now alot of pros are using Futaba,Ko,JR and Spektrum. This could be for many reasons.First sponsorship dollars.Airtronics gives free gear they do not pay drivers(other then free gear) I know other radio companies have stepped in and started paying top quality drivers.Second everyone is catching up with Airtronics. When you are on top you get pretty comfortable. The m8 was the radio of choice for so many years because it was easy to use.Who wants to keep a manual on hand to figure out how to do basic radio setting(Who had a lynx 3D?) The m11 is a great radio( I have 2) but anymore most radios have most of that same features and price for high line is abut same.It comes down to comfort. After all the M11 can not be thought of as the most popular radio anymore.Airtronics lost for the 1st time in the history of radio catagory for the RCCA readers choice awards.

Many many top onroad drivers (gas and electric) use nothing but KO stuff. Airtronics is more popular with the offroad crowd around here.

Racers feel more connected with it and it always delivers the best lap times compared to the other radio`s available...

In the N/w the M-11 is the most popular radio still...
What are you smoking? At best there is an avergae amount of M11's out here. People run the EX10, 3PK and JR Spektrum radio just as much

you do know that spring tension is adjustable, right?

Ive owned alot of radios including the 3pks and spek's but the M11 is by far the best imo. The menu's and adjustment ease make it the best in my book, has definitely helped me step up my game in rc.

Don`t think the on-road scene is the whole community ....

Just know from attending the biggest events in the N/w, which are off-road...

Steerwheel radios... what are they I've raced for 14 years with a stick radio

Very similar design/layout to this one... http://2.4gigahertz.com/systems/futk3000.html,
but mine is 40mhz and I got it about 2000/2001.

7 years and its only ever needed a new transmitter ariel that siezed up... reliable!
