Sorry boys! After my personal testing of multiple lipos, I am just flat out moving to the SMC 5000. Bye to this thread...

I've said it before and i'll say it again.......the trinity 3800 25c is incredibly fast...........you should let on track performance make your decision instead of a sticker with a rating that at this point means nothing.
Untill packs are sold with discharge numbers.....you have 2 choices
1....believe the hype
2.....go with on track performance
SMC sells the 4000 and 5000 with 35 amp discharge numbers written on the package. Every pack is cycled before it is sold to ensure quality. Wonder why we are the only ones to do this?

Josh,

After my testing, I even question the C ratings of the same manufacturer.

OK, movin' on...

I haven't had a chance to run a SMC pack, (and wont until they release the top outlet version)....but I will say this. The IP3800 hands down out pulls the Orion 3600. The Orions have served me well, and fit the 007 with little effort, but performance is performance. I'll hold just the 1 IP3800 until the end of August when the new SMC is out...then compare that also.

Also the newest Orion is 4 months old, so I think I have an apple to apple compare here.

Run for the first time my new Orion 3800 30C was impressive.Today i ran it for the second time and I got the same runtime and performance with my 4 months old 3200 Yeah Racing (5.5 min) .I was expecting much more punch and runtime from a 3800mAh 30C pack (misrated or defective pack ?)Im not so sure so i'll run it again tomorrow and i'll see.

Completly disappointed from this new Orion 3800 30C. 90.00 US$ wasted for a relabeled pack. Now im waiting for 2 Trinity packs 3800 25C.I hope i'll get better results with these packs.

Very interesting...I had the complete opposite experience with my Orion 3800s and locals here who ran the Trinity thought they were complete garbage so that played into my decision. Good luck and hopefully the Trinity performs to your expectations. Out of curiousity what were you running before for comparison?

I was running the yeah Racing 3200mAh.And today i ran for the first time the Trinity 3800.Performance and puch was very good this first time.Right now im recharging it.Has already take 3800 mAh and the voltage is still on 4.10v/cell.That means that the capacity is more than 3800.
