A month ago i bought from ebay this Energy ec 3000mAh lipo 25C lipo pack for 19.00$ shipped.I don't know if you're talking for the same company and lipo packs but i have to tell you that this lipo hasn't punch at all.I like the golden case, battery fits perfect on my car, price is very good but the lack of punch is very essential. If i had a drift car i should bought them. But not for a mod. brushless.

I have heard the following...

- Orion and Intellect 3800s are actually 4200s
- Intellect C rating is underrated, whereas Orion is overrated
- both packs perform more like a 28C pack, not 25 or 30Cs as claimed

This is unsubstantiated, having no direct proof myself.
However, it does seem like bench tests etc show both packs to perform equally as well. If this is the case, I'd be going for the cheaper Intellects.

I have (had) both lipos so i can tell you this:
- Orion and Intellect 3800s are actually 4200s Intellect YES-Orion not even close to 3800
- Orion is overrated True
- both packs perform more like a 28C pack, not 25 or 30Cs as claimed. Both packs perform more like a 20C pack
In my opinion Intellect 3800 performs much better. This is the reason i sold the Orion after 3 cycles.

not exactly off topic, but has anyone compared the IP3800s to LRP 28C 5300s Competition Car Line packs?

I do understand the differences between them and have run them both on a short course technical carpet track and have made opinion there, but yet to see the large track differences..

has anyone?

I am still running the IP3800 (Trinity) and having good luck. The 35C's should be out in a couple of weeks and will have a much lower ir and should give a little more grunt.

I have tried Orion and SMC and lap times prove the IP3800 to be faster for "me". It may have a little to do with the fact they actually fit into the car unlike some of the other larger packs w/Deans connectors.

Rob.....you will be happy to hear that the new ip 3800 35c packs are all that....and then some.

My fastest lap came on the last lap last night with the new 35c pack. There is no fade at all with these packs.

So Intellect should have donne the same but they didn't.Strange because Intellect price is the same with the first day they released the 25C packs. And as i can see 35C has the same price with the 25C.
