Just my 2$
Although I am not a big fan of the SP products I would say an abnormally short lifespan is more likely due to user damage or an isolated production problem and not representative of their line.

I've run GTBs and have had no failures. I seem to like other ESCs also. ESCs that get my vote in high regards are LRP TC Spec and as of late the Speed Passion GT. Motors are very competitive between markets. I use the Novaks by choice and really like them but so many to compare so I don't!

i haven't ran my 10.5 in a while, but its got a ton of runs on it, and i used the SP13.5 to win masters at roar nats a few weeks ago,

one thing i have found out recently even though i've been running SP for a while, they really enjoy what most would consider being overgeared,

My experience with 13.5 has been the same....

Ran the tc spec with a novak and got the best results especially when track temps reach triple digits.....

LRP esc and novak motors, tried several motors to try to get away from Novak but the motors are the best so far.

I see LRP esc is better and i think i buy it. What do you think about LRP 10.5? It's 20W more powerfull than Novak but have smallest kv 3,800 (Novak 4,200)

I've got the LRP X11 10.5T. It's a very fast motor , but you will have to gear it less hard as the SP Motors.

The difference between the LRP and SP motors is really small. I prefer the SP motors.

I've run both motors for a while now and I have to say both motors haven't shown any signs of wear.

Don't buy the Eraser 10.5T of LRP. It's got a bounded rotor which is slower and breaks very very often.

Greetings Victor

Same here, I bought one when they first came out and a second hand one a year later and both running fine after a lot of punishment. Same goes for their motors. I think cheap chinese stuff is in fashion these days.

Been using Novak brushless/GTB combo for three years now and had no
problems whatsoever. I only race 1/10 scale modified touring. However,
I just ordered the Trinity Duo Brushless 10.5 TRI10209 to try it out. It's
got some very good feedbacks from racers everywhere.

I have a Losi 10.5 Xcelorin brushless and from the outside, it looks a lot like the hacker 10.5. Does anyone know if they are made by the same company?
