Default 19 What

At your track do they have an open 19 turn class or is it a spec 19 turn class the only roar legal 19 is the epic based k-19 motor for the current season anyways. If its open 19 then you can run what ever 19 motor you want as long as it has a tag on the arm. But then again the k-19 based motors are almost as fast as the handwound motors, and with the new batteries that are out I think the spec motors are the way to go anyways. It would realy suck to burn up a handwound 19, and the world edition 4200,s can do it!

Get either a Komdo or Atlas... The Checkpoint $$ is also good.

You will be very happy with either one of these 3

I just got a good deal at my lhs for a Reedy quad. Got some numbers on my APS "motor checker". My numbers were lower than my 27t motors. Put some 767's and they weren't that much better. I reshimmed and checked the alignment too.
I think I'm gonna splurge on the money motors.

A load dyno or the track is the only way to test a motor... maybe you should give it a test on the track before you toss it but I prefer the KD to all the other 19 turns out with the money being a close second

Well, the APS Dyno charge is more of a motor checker... it doesnt really tell you if a motor is better. The Reedy Quad mag is a very low reving motor... but it has bucket loads of torque. The Dyno charge can't really tell you anything about torque. To truely see how much power the reedy quad mag will put out, you will need to put it on a true dyno... like a turbo dyno. So I would just try it anyways and just gear it pretty tall.

Very tall and with XXX brushes Purple+ Red- or RED+ RED- springs..
More Torque than any other 19T spec..

For all around the KD is about it...

For high revs the C2 is another great choice.

The Money is another good all arounder.. just put in infinity brushes....

Does anyone have a good starting rollout number for the Komodo on a semi technical carpet track?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hey Tim.. Komotos are great 19T motors. We have found gearing around 28mm roll out to be best to start. Vegas was a med to large track with both tech and flowing sections and we too geared 28mm there too. We have also found either F brushes with red/red combo to work well or XXX brushes with Purple+ and red - to work well also.. Hope this helps..
