I`m after a ball park 19T gear ratio for my TC3.

I`m going from a Tamiya Sport Tuned (Black Can) to 19T so i would like a starting point to fine tune from.

Well what motor will you be running? The reedy quad mag you can run at ratio's as low as 5.2 depending on the track, a chameleon 2 perhaps geared much closer to 6.0, a Peak Dynasty in between.

it`s just a VERY cheap Venom "Fireball" 19T double..ATM , I was given it so i could have a run in 19T next meet to see if i like it.

I was thinking of around 6.0-6.5...??

Does anyone use/recommend "Nosram" motors..? My LHS is getting some in.

Wich Nosram motors are they getting in?
As far as i know, the Nosram eXtreme modified is exactly the same as the Reedy Kr. Both LRP and Nosram use Reedy motors as a base for their motors.
I actually own two Nosram eXtreme motors, both 12x2, and from my experience i can't recomend them. They're just toast after 1 run if you are 1 tooth off perfect gearing.

That i couldn`t tell you ATM...one of our local club members is just starting up a RC shop as his 2nd business, mainly to help out local ppl.

So i`l just have to wait & see.

From your experience they (Nosram) sound like the Venom Fireball range. If you don`t get your gearing spot-on they go up in smoke.

can anyone give me a good setup for a C2 with f-brushes, like what cuts or holes and what springs to run, for a foam sedan?

Of all my 19t motors. My Trinity Cham.2 is the fastest. Then my Integy Altas, my Trinity D5 19t , last but not least my Venom 19t (p.o.s.)
Strange my D5 is not the fastest even though it's handwound and all that. Out the box it was a pig, but then I put the P94 brushes and it made it a lil' betta. The Cham is a rocket with green-/red+ springs, trinity angled serr. brushes.
I love the dyno feature on my APS charger!

SPC,

Run Full-face F's with Either Purple (+), Red (-), or Red/Red with the positive spring bent to give a little more tension. This setup has worked great for me.

different 19t like different gearing. I would be surprised if the d5 19t at 36 degrees and proper gearing was a pig. Has this motor been overheated?
Brushhoods aligned? inspected for abnormalities?

Default How much brake

Ran at IRP last night at the Hurricane cup only time ran 19t and learned a lot, one question I have is how much brake does everyone dial into the speed control? I have a 3PK radio and added brake quickly using it and it seemed to help. I have a GT-7 speedo and what program do others use?

I have it set up for Oval for running TC stock and 19t.
