You will gain alot more overall power. I havent had a chance to do any testing back to back with the V2 endbell but from what I have seen it lags out of the corner speed.

Gear it high and let it fly, these things have tonnes of torque. I've run as low as 5.2 before...

Smile 19 Turn Question

Alright here it goes. Totally new to brushed touring cars. Been using brushless in on-road, and off-road. Last night I pick up a pretty torquey Reedy Quad Mag, and I also grabbed a Orion V2 Endbell. Well the endbell didn't quit fit over the comm. So carefully I dremmeled out the brush hoods, precision filed, and 600 grit sanded downed to smooth things out. Blam, It fit nice :-) I need suggestions on what springs to use? Right now I have the Hard on the pos, and Med-Hard on the neg. Is this an acceptable set-up? Thanks.

heavy springs and sprint brushes combination!
break-in for 600sec. at 1V.
I really love it! no fading!

I think you meant you have a motor checker, right???

Since these checkers don't put any load on the motor, it's hard to notice how the springs are affecting torque, efficiency, etc.....

The purpose of springs are to keep the brushes tight to the comm under acceleration. The electrical forces naturally want to push the brushes away from the comm. The stiffness of the brush dictates how much the brush will be seperated from the comm. I don't have or use a motor checker, but I would imagine that since no load is used, then the electrical current would not be strong enough to detect a difference in spring tension.
