I am running one of the 10.5's in my TC and it works great, you sure you are not having a problem with the speedo?

Yup could be the Mamba.

The Mamba is a sensorless speed control and can have some cogging on start up or at low speeds.

Also what kind of battery are you using? Lower level battery packs can sometimes can not deliver the power the Mamba needs.

But I think that Sensorless esc's like the Mamba just are not as smooth in a drift car. I tried a Mamba with the 6900kv motor in my drifter and it just was not smooth.

If you need a sensored speed control you can try the Tekin RS or the RS-Pro. Both will handle your motor with ease and are very small and easy to mount in your car.

If you want to stay with sensorless motors Tekin also has a whole line of sensorless motors that were designed exactly for the purpose of running sensorless speed controls.

I would have just gotten rid of the mamba and kept the motor. You could have just bought the XBR since the motor that comes with the combo is not as good a the Duo motor. But I guess as long as it works well enough for you for drifting it will be fine.
