Default Lipo Balance hook up

Hey,

Out of curiosity why do some manufactures use one method over the other?

what I mean is I currently own a pack that uses type A bracket that has three wires. whereas others use a single wire to do the balancing?

Are there any advantages of balancing with a multi wire vs a single wire?

Also, if I were to compair information from one to the other would I get different results due to one having multi wires vs a single wire?

thanks,
Rudy

Actually, they both achieve the same thing. The two outside wires on the 3-wire balancing plug are just the main + and -. The single plug setup gets these readings from the power wires so it does not need 3 wires on the balancing plug.

You can actually use the single plug type on a pack that has three wires. The single plug just needs to be adapted to fit the middle wire on the balancing plug.
