Jamie,

I run a Hitec HS625-MG nice speed, not too heavy.

I run a JR4750...just because that's what I had around. It' doesn't need much.

I have yet to run the o ring suspension, mostly because there is no provision for tweak control. I run the ball suspension on carpet, and I have it set up like a 1/12 car, with tweak screws at the front. I don't know if going without some kind of tweak control would work, but I feel better knowing my car is square when I put it on the track.

I have only run the O-ring suspension so far and I can say it tracks dead straight with no pull on or off throttle. I was suprised as to how well the car worked right out of the box. This is with a F103R on carpet.

Good to know the ball suspension accepts tweak screws. I'm gonna try the o-ring setup first and then try the ball suspension. One thing I like about the o-ring suspension is that you can tighten the o-ring to control roll. Anyhow, probably good to have both in the pit box to cover all conditions.

Hi,
Where do you put the tweak screws? Can you direct me to page on difference between ball and oring suspension? I'm having the 103R - ball setup I suppose? Thanks.

Each of the two carriers for the pivot balls has 4 screws to secure the pivot ball in place. You will notice there are 2 more holes, one on each side of the ball, which you can put a screw into for tweak control. The screws I use are small machine screws, I think the size is 1.5mm or 2mm, I haven't measured them. The tweak screws go into the pivot ball carrier towards the front of the car.

Whoa! switched to the o-ring suspension today and holy crap it drives better, but has more of a push where as the pivot ball has a tendency to load up and transfer all of the weight at once, which ca lead to to the dreaded hook or on power pull. In my opinion the o ring rear susp. is more predictable. Rob how does your car drive with the new chassis from ebay?

Hi robk,
I've looked thru the car(15th Anniversary version). I can't find any pivot balls or their carriers. Which part of the rear or front suspension are you referring? Thanks.

the F103R (15th version) has the o-ring suspension so you wont find it on your chassis... but they'd be in the same place as the o-ring suspension is now
