thanks in advance!
I beleive the volac is a KO thats been relabeled. When it comes down to it, pretty much any ESC will run off a lipo, the difference is the ones that advertise lipo compatibility have a voltage cutoff so you dont run the lipo down into reversal. I basically run the lipo till it just starts to fall off, then i recharge. When I am racing, I top off after every heat. It can probably go 2 heats, but I dont want to risk it .By the way, I have some LRP Quantum Competitions speedos for sale , they will handle the kind of power you are looking to run, $50+shipping for the quantum 2, and 40+shipping for the quantums, and I have pics I can send if you are interested

Any F1 clubs starting out there? We need to know these things for some future info. If you have a website or one you use it would be most helpful.

Default 103R+Novak GTB

Hi All,

Appreciate your advise on my questions:

1. Can Novak GTB with fan fit in a 103R? The esc looks too tall to me.
2. Will a Novak 6.5T brushless motor fit the 103r? Then I can just transfer over the esc + motor combo into the 103R.
3. What will be a suitable number of brushless motor turns suitable for 103R?

Thanks.

I had mine in and pulled it out. Not because the esc won't fit, but because the body won't sit down over the motor. As for motor type, get one to fit your class. Brushless do not fit well due to the soldering tabs.

Not sure what you mean by an F1 club.. but at our track we have over 40 f1 cars running on a Wednesday night now.

www.fastcats.ca

As far as I know largest # of racers in a point series F1 class.

Well it's Friday night and I didn't have much else to do. I finally got some time to work on the car again. I finished up the interior and mounted the helmit. I used some of the extra stickers to put on the driver suit. I think I'm going to hit it with some flat to knock down the shine of the stickers. I put some pics below. All I have left to do is the rear wing. Then I'm done!

Nice shelf queen. Would hate to see all that hard work ruined at the track.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the feedback. I'd like to run it and I have another body and all the same stickers I used for this one....HMMMM Maybe...just maybe.

He means the wing will fly off because where the lower wings are attached the wing mount it's really week. They sort of curve up and they always snap at that spot. I use to run this body allot and all it takes is one good roll and your looking in your toolbox for a replacement.

You really do go all out on the body to make them look athentic to the real thing. And there's nothing wrong with that, but have you ever thought about buying a cheap generic body and doing your own thing on them? Bet you could do some crazy things to it, and save you some chash too.

I have, but it seems like I go all the or nothing. When I did a generic car once before it ended up looking like a silver F1 from the off season used for testing. It was ok and it ran just fine. It probably worked a little better because it was really light weight. The problem I had with it was it didnít look like anything. Even if I take another bodyÖsay a Lotus 107b and paint it different Iíll still try to make it look like an original F1One of the reasons I really enjoy the RC F1 cars is the realism you can try to put into them. Granted you canít see all the details when the car is running, but itís what Iím into. Iíve recently picked up a couple of bodyís (non Tamiya so donít tell anyone) that I was going to make genericÖbut my conscience got the best of me and now they each have a plan thought out for them. Like I said itís a personal thing.

If you look at the pics below you can see what I'm talking about. The Jodan 7-Up car, the Williams FW-16 and the Jordan Sasol car are all done on a Lotus body.
