Nice pics! Thanks for sharing. This surely fills up our curiosity. Have you tried fitting the front suspension?

Quick question, does the rear diffuser really work? I know it works as a gear cover and a rear impact protector, but has anyone really felt any difference in lap times?

rear diffuser:
You will have to be a very good driver to notice much of a difference on a typical track.
If your car tends to have a "push" it would make your times worse as the rear has too much traction in relation to the front.
If you are loose, then yes it could give more traction in the rear.

Thanks for the info! I just checked it out myself in my LHS. Unfortunately, the front arms of the F104 are around 10mm narrower than the F103.

The 103 has so much aftermarket support there is no reason not to buy an f103. It may still be the car to have, since there is very little info on the 104 right now anyway. You can't go wrong with either car.

I usually run my 103rm on unpreped asphalt and my spur and pinion got damaged by some debris and now makes a horrible sound despite removing the offending debris from between the teeth. Should I replace the spur/pinion with the original 103rm 17T/63T items (cheaper) or should I get the 103GT/15th anni 0.4 module ones of 25T/93T, I noticed the pinion is a steel one? Or some others? I am running it with the stock silver can.

Also recently got new zen 35 shore for the fronts of my 103rm, as the stock foams were wearing down giving little ground clearance in the front. Also using zen 30 shore at the rear. Previously the car was pushing, despite slowing down more, and using the gold springs. Now, with the zen 35 shores, the steering is hyper reactive! I have to set the dual rate way down, and even then I can still oversteer very easily! Couldn't believe the vast difference in grip! I am already using the softer T-bar. Looks like I should go back to the black springs at the very least? Should I get rear 25 shores too?

I'm diggin my new to me (2 weeks now) F103RM.
Has the good upgrades and a great set up with help from many of you guys here and at the tracks I've been to with it, Tamiya, OCRC and Bending Corners.

Problem is, NO PARTS IN THE HOBBY SHOPS!

I took the front end from Ultimate Hobbies.

I've already got a shipment from Tamiya.

Today I ordered more stuff from RCmart.

This is all good but, I ran it today and need more stuff.

Planned on racing this weekend.

What do you guys do when you need something right now?

Anyone know of a hobbyshop that has a stash of F1 stuff here in So Cal?

The guys at Bending Corners were very helpful last Sunday, generous with their spare parts but are there any options other than bummin stuff or do I need to start stockin up on extras?

Looks like I'm not the only one who ordered at RCMart. I just ordered some yesterday and hopefully will come within a week or two. Are you gonna be @ OCRC on Saturday?
