Sorry, I have a complete chassis that I am willing to part with, but not part out. With the 104 coming out, I want to unload the chassis to make room for a 104, if I have an incomplete car hanging around, it will just be in the way

Even if they did have the part number in their system, all major distributors are out of this part. The part number is TAM51233 btw.Try a google search of the number and you will find places overseas with it.Good luck.Your better off buying the other guys used car.

Tamiya America has it in stock, and you can order it direct from them. Depending on when you order, you can have it in less than a week

Okay since I couldn't mount the F103 light-weight diff. joint on my F103-GT I did a little modification to make it work, I drilled a hole in the hub and it does work I took it out for a test run today and it is great!!

The only set back is that the part where you attach the lug nut isn't as big as I thought it would be, but it is enough to mount the lug nut on.

Just thought I would post a couple of my new body. Chevron body with Tech rear wing and 3Racing front (which is badly beat up). And don't mind the orange wheel spats, they need to be replaced with gold ones =)

Here in Chicago F1 rc racing has taken off. A bunch of us who run at various venues are now racing the class. I bought a F103RM a month ago and have raced it every weekend and on Tuesday nights. We're racing on Asphalt and carpet. I just replaced the stock foam front tires because they got too small. It's amazing how much front tires make a difference with this car. So it looks like I'll be replacing fronts once a month. Not too bad spending 20 bucks a month.

Are any of you running rubber tires here in the US as a group of racers?

Good to hear it is alive an well in other parts of the USA. Tamiya F1 is a great class. You can wrap it up with two words “challenging" and "simplicity”. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to be competitive if you have some root skills.

I have never run on carpet, but have run foam and rubber on asphalt. Unless the surfaced is well prepped, rubber will not hook up well. With good traction rubber is great and you can run a lot longer on a set of tires than with foams. You also never have to worry about ride height or conical front tires. At the local track (BCR in Orange CA) some of the drivers have a preference for a rubber tire from Ride that is out of production, I read somewhere that they were going to make them again, but have yet to find anyone who sells them. TRG makes a decent set of rubber tires. In a recent race series, we all ran rubber to keep the cost down and the race group on an even playing field. About the only other rule was to run 17.5 brushless, but that was found to be of no great advantage/disadvantage to those running a decent brushed silver can.

Those who run 17.5 brushless on their f103, I would like to know the gearing to start. I may give the brushless a shot on mine.

Any issues with using E clips instead of the special C clip used at the bottom of the kingpin (#9805478 from the manual)?

You may want to ask that question on the BCR forum.
