My mistake, it's "D" parts not "B".

Hey Guys....looking for a little help!!! I'm going to be running a "gt"class with the f103rm....this class is pretty open.....rubber tire....silver can....lipo's allowed!!!

Soooo...

1) Being as part of the diff is in the 2 piece wheels for the foams....what make/type of tire/rims(with part numbers if you have them) would you recomend??? The KRG tires/rims look sweet but they come pre-mounted....so not sure if I could use them....or would I need to switch to a more conventional diff??

2) Rear-suspension....the obvious change out is the kit friction damper...but can someone tell me(with part number) who or where I can find a lighter rear axle??? Anything else I'm overlooking.....the friction pads....etc???

3) Chassis.....is the upper chassis an advantage(the one that links the servo mount to the back plate)???

4) Finally gearing......I see Tamiya advertise a 4.0 pitch gearing...although looks tough to find....any other spurs that may work (either 64 or 48 pitch)??

Thanks for taking the time.....any info would be greatly appreciated....also if there's something I'm completely missing let me know!!!

Roy

Almost forgot.....racing is on medium/high bite carpet.....very similar track dimensions for all the events!!

This evening, I tried the Tamiya Sports tuned motor in my 103rm, and it seems to spin right everytime I nail the throttle. I lifted it up and noticed the steering servo seems to glitch right whenever I nail the throttle or brake. I am using Airtronics MX-3 FHSS with the stock Tamiya ESC (TEU-101BK) The silver can was fine though. Maybe I need to solder some caps? Any advice?

thanks!

Can someone ID the Tamiya M-Type Body 84024 is kinda similar to what year model of the real F1 body..? Like I am sure the M-Type is not even close to the current MP4-24 type, I just want some idea about the paint job and decal that I can use on the M-Type and want to Google it, and at least get the close enough ERA of the F1 body similar for the M-type.

My wild guess...kinda like MP4-12 or eariler (9 and after) era...

Thanks all.......

M-type refers to the 1999 McLaren MP4/13...info from Tommi Makkinen

I am running the Sport tuned without caps. Only the ones on my ESC.

What does the caps do and do you solder it on the motor?

What ESC are you using? I'm using the Tamiya 101BK esc, I am thinking the BEC circuitry may not supply enough current for my current servo, it's a HITEC metal gear one, not sure the model as it is covered by the servo holder.

I gotten a great deal from a mate here for a Volac MS C3. The default settings are great for the Sport Tuned. I am using a Futaba 9551 low profile servo.

I think the 101BK is good enough for bashing/normal runs. If you plan to go faster, it be a good idea to get a better ESC. Heard the Tekins are good and their software is update-able.

Pity the KO ICS Adaptor for my ESC is a bitch on my wallet.

I'm going to have my first race this Saturday on a oval carpet track with the F103L. Does anyone have any setup tips for running on a oval track? Thanks

Bro can try to look for a 2nd hand one. But its pretty troublesome cause there are too many settings that you can adjust to.
