I got myself the nice affordable Airtronics MX-3. Not an advanced radio by any means, but its FM, has a decent amount of bells/wistles (too much for me actually, I can't figure all that out), comes with a receiver and a servo, and I got it for 99$

I just got the Ko Propo Helios and it really is a nice radio. Its got a lot of features( many of which I've yet to experiment with), and it's exteamely easy to navigate the menus. I had mine set-up to race in 10 minutes and I didn't have to constantly consult the manual. I used to have a 3PJ and this radio is a lot easier to use. One thing I really like is the new KR-302F receiver. That thing is tiny. All of top of the line radios are nice and all you can really do is compare their features and pick what is important to you.

Thanks Eric R., because the more I think of this radio, the more I want to try it. Anyone else have experience with this transmitter?

Well if the cost of the extension unit for the Mars is any indication, it will probably be around $60USD.

Default helios release date?

man that helios looks nice! i was chatting with robert from ko propo last week at the track.. he said the 75 band helios wont be coming out until the end of the month. anyone buy the 29 band yet?

i wanna see how it feels if you lower the wheel and tilt it towards you? anyone try this yet? i wonder how different it'll be if the wheel is turned towards/away from you.

only complaint is probably the size. its a lot bigger than the mars R.

Default extension...

i got the extension on my mars R. big difference in the way it feels. much more comfortable since my hands are aligned now. being able to use sedan tires is kinda cool too. ive used a normal 1/10 scale tire for steering..and a mini cooper tire also. too bad the mars R doesnt have a tension adjustment like the helios.

they need to come out with a radio that combines all the features from mars R (size, features) and helios (back lit led, tension and angle adjustment for steering) and also add a tension adjustment for the trigger for the heavy trigger finger people out there! i hope the KO guys are listening!

YEah, but the thing is it feels like my old futaba 3pj, back before i was running Ko, same weight and everything

The extension only tilts the way shown in the picture(from what I was told),
also I finally installed it in my Tc3 and programmed it, sooooo easy to use, mmmm....cant wait for them to send me the drop down unit, i will be sure to posts comments when i receive it

well technically, heavy finger just means, hammering the throttle, so a radio cant fix that... .
well, I was messin with the helios and i popped the steering wheel screw cover off and the wheel they have under there is SWEEEEEEt looking, lol, post pics later tomorrow

Yeah, Robert from Ko showed me that same trick. I like it a lot better without the cover on it.
