There was one at the local track this past weekend. Somehow the charger went into NiMH mode and swelled the pack like a balloon before I ever saw it touch the track. The charger was the new Much More Charger for Li-Po. It had a built-in power supply also. The battery was apparently charge in NiMH mode and was trashed afterwards. The charger was also hot but cooled soon after the incident. A wasted battery just like that.

I am waiting for them to hit the states,,,,but given what I saw,,,uhh.

Default orion 3600 lipo

i got some off rcmarket with the free shipping

i currently have used

orion 3600
orion 3800
trinity/ ib 3800
SMC 4000

to tell u the truth i wonder if it really is a 30c as claimed
as i really cant see much of a difference.(hope it becomes legal soon)

out of the above packs i prefer the orion packaging as it is a better quality hardcase as it sit in the chassis slots well

i prefer the trinity ib as they are cheap and roar legal (around $60) almost identical to the orion casing/packaging

i prefer the smc as i feel it has abit more punch - it comes with numbers on the packaging so it has truly been tested but i hate the hardcase - its an awful red which i carbon laminated the whole pack which looks better now. (overall the dearest lipo) also i dont like the wires comming out the sides .

sorry for the 3rd world country grammar...
these are just my opinions

Kenny

Default Lipo

In a few months Lipo's will be ok to use where I race and to read threads where 30c packs are available I was about to place an order for some 25c .

We are moving so fast with batteries its so hard to keep up with what to buy these days.

I only just bought some 4600 2 months ago thinking moving up a class etc.

(30C * 3800mah = 114000) < (25C * 4900mah = 122500)

I would have to say from experience the 3800.

In theory the 3800.

Talking to Rob Love he said at the Nats it seemed you needed to run either brushed/lipo or brushless/nimh to be at the top. For what its worth.

For 17.5 this was true. In low amp applications the nimh seems to shine, but in higher amp load applications the lipo shines.

Well, looks like the C is higher as they are, the most punch they will load.
I hope our rules will change in next year, after all, maybe Orion will release 4000 35c in that time, i guess.
Thanks from your recommend.
Honestly, if use Orion Lipo must using Orion recommended chargers, like those coming soon Advantages?

Mac you don't have to use an orion approved LiPo charger, you can use any of the current chargers which have LiPo capabilities (Ice, Supernova). Just be sure to set the charger to LiPo mode before you start charging your Lipo.

How about my MM cell master, in the case it says in the specs?
But i don't think could be, why the people still buy those low profile lipo charger, if most of them has already these high-end nimh chargers.
If really these ice or supernova are more safety, or else i don't get it, why should the people need it?
