Default Which is fastest?

LRp 3.5t
orion 3.5t
venom 3.5t
mamba 7700

...tooo many factors

What type of car, what surface, who's driving...

THEY ARE ALL too fast for MOST on MOST surfaces.

I agree, a 3.5 Brushless Motor is so damn powerful that it simply won't matter, boiling down to brand preference and reliability.

Are you attempting to set a speed record, or racing on a track?

Its for a TC4. Im running it on pavement and cement. I have no plans of using Lipos so it will just be standard 6 cell packs. I do not do speed runs. i want to be able to make turns with it. I have the 8000kv in my RC18t and with a 6 cell Im able to run it around the 1/8 scale off road track by my house with no problems. I dont know the difference though in the 1/18 8000 and the 1/10 7700. Is the 7700 going to be slower than my rc18? I have never owned an on road RC before either. I got the TC4 and a TT01 with a 15T brushed orion in it both this week. Im not sure of the importance of sensored over sensorless either. I just want it to haul ass with standard 6 cell packs and be manageable to turn around large pavement tracks. I also heard the 3.5t sometimes will melt standard 6 cell packs and you have to get expensive packs for it so Im not keen to that idea either. Im sort of leaning towards the mamba 7700. I just dont want my street car to be slower than my rc18t though. and since I can try before I buy it makes it difficult to compare the 100 or so models to choose from. any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have to ask, they're all too fast.

my thoughts exactly.

It's similar to never riding a motorcycle and deciding you want the 1300 cc crotch rocket as your first bike.

Well.....You can discount the MM 7700 as the fastest. The 3.5s have a lot higher Kv rating. 10,300 something? Thats a pretty big difference no matter the car kit.

Check out the new 2.5r ..... Now thats stupid fast.

its not the same. the 8k on 6 cell nimh does about 40-45mph depending on gearing. a 3.5 on 6c nimh will push 55+ depending on gearing, with TONS more rip. the 7700 will be more controllable on 6c on asphalt, most mod guys run 3.5 on 5c nimh, which puts the 2 systems about even. if your going for all out speed, the 3.5 on 6c is best. for driveability, 3.5 on 5c or 7700 on 6c. its up to you what you want to do. the latters will yeild more consistent handling/laptimes if your racing.

as for the packs, your car will defintely perform better on better packs, theres no way around it. its escpecially important in mod to have good packs, more for runtime. also, make sure you run a high quality connector, else you melt it together (use deans, traxxas, bullet plug, etc)

In the above post I meant I have the 8000 in my RC18T. Thanks for all the helpful info Mike. I think Im gonna go with the mamba 7700. Im using the Reedy wolfpack 3600 Nimh's with deans connectors. Are those decent?
