Just curious, the 4000s were discharge based on 25C 4A, or based on their true rating of 3500-ish (or 3600) 20C? If it's the former, perhaps the discharge based on their true performance would yield better?

cheers.

Actually for that voltage drop test I discharged them both at 60A, which is pretty close to 20C for the 3200's and either 15C if you rate them at 4000 or 17C if you think of them as 3500's.

The main reason I discharged them both at the same rate was to see which would have more power in my car, as the load my car generates would not vary with the C rating of the battery. That is when I noticed the different discharge curves.

That's cool if local tracks want to allow this, it's your track, your responsibility and your liability. My previous track was on County Fairgrounds property and they took their liability issues serious. ROAR was my ONLY liability insurance and I couldn't afford even the remote risk of something happening and me personally having to assume the liability and that was a risk I couldn't afford. So I'm doing the next best thing I can by helping these guys with the use of my personal equipment.

All information for product approvals and submissions can be found on the ROAR website at http://www.roarracing.com/approvals.php

My club's track is on public park land too and we only allow ROAR approved LiPos mainly for that reason. We get a lot of bitching and moaning from guys that want to run shrinkwapped packs, especially 4S or higher. But the three guys (me included) who are running 1/8th scale electric conversions have accepted/embraced the rule and are running two ROAR Approved hardcase LiPos in series instead of one 4S pack.

I am glad that there is at least one other person that understands our position.

mmmm ... ultraline sure let this one slip down the forum.

Hey guys at least tell the racers that the 4000 pack was mislabelled 3600 20C pack. Anyone buy them as 4000 and pay the premium price?

So do I get it right. If I wanna get Yeah Racing's Lipos, I should get the 3200s instead of the 4000s?

Well the 4000 25C wasn't neither 4000mA not 25C.Not even 20C.Now if Yeah Racing relabes the same packs as 3600mA and 20C with a higher price than 3200mA i don't see why someone will buy these packs.
