Default HPI Pro-D?????

WTF???? Man, I need to get stationed in Japan!!!!

http://www.hpiracing.co.jp/contents_...op/list-2.html

1. I wonder how much this car is going for there?

2. Why haven't HPI, or HotBodies in that fact, tried to market this car in the States? This is damn near like not allowing the Skyline R34 to be bought in the US.....

Have anyone have bought or heard of this new chassis? Or once again I am beating a dead horse?

this time I did a search for this and came up with dust bunnies...

Woah!!

i wouldn't expect something like that from hpi!!

its like an associated b44 did it with a serpent s400 and a sprint!!

i guess tc is more popular over there!!

It actually looks like a worthy built drift tc!!

what am i talking about,

it is!!

'bout time drift cars weren't all plastic.

I don't know guy.....

A search with the keywords HPI Pro-D should have gave me something... if there was talk about it, must have been the result of thread-jacking..... If I have to go in-depth over something that simple must not been important to be marked as a worthy thread...... so, I am making one.

Should be a Drift Thread too.... but there is the dead horse issue again......

EDIT: Well what do you know.....only one thread besides this one...... I still want one though.

It's an HPI Japan-only kit, it would be horrifically expensive to bring it into the US and EU in quantities. You can always order it from a HK shop online

We have a fellow Drift mate who recently assembled one. Our view: nice car. Too bad understeers quite badly. The positioning of the shaft will in time either break the shaft or damage the batt. Weights will need to be put in the front of the car to counter the understeer.

i hate to push this off topic but does anybody mind explaining what makes a drift car any different than a regular TC. I used to drift alot with my pro4 a couple years back and do a little drifting with my current jrxs and have never seen any need to have any kind of specialized drifting chassis

It's easy to get one if you want it, just go onto the Yahoo Japan auction site and buy one from anyone that will allow exporting. I've gotten many neat things that way including stereos for cars that are way more advanced over there.

I never feel the need either.

On a race kit you can adjust so much that they are all excellent drift car's when tuned properly.

its all BS that this car is specialy designed to drift, it's because hpi know's they may sell 3 or 4 of these more that they say it's a special drift chassis.

Point is, its all set-up and personal likings.

Pro race chassis are also alot easier for parts and selling, ...
