Default Team Losi JRXS help...new to electric......

I have been into rc for a few years now and this is my first electric car, i have always been into nitro.I just picked up a Team Losi JRXS roller and im trying to get it running. i have a lrp esc and a reedy ti mod motor for it and a few 6cell battery packs for it. i just dont know how to wire it up so that i wont burn up anything. if anyone has any detailed pics of there setups i think that will help out a lil too, or can give me a diagram to go by that would really help me out.............thanks

Hey man,
while i don't have time to write a detailed explination,

team novak has some great wiring diagrams to help you ease through your first wiring job.

here's one of their manuals for a speed control,

the controller is different, but the principles are the same.

the diagram is on page two located here.

http://teamnovak.com/download/instru...fs/GTX_ins.pdf

also check out teamnovak.com for more info on how to set things up and get you started.

welcome to electric my friend.

Beat me to it, the novak ones are the best for a visual. Another quick suggestion if you aren't using connectors like the traxxas or deans, color your solder tabs red and black w/ a sharpie .

Trust me when i tell you i have a small pile of blowed up good esc's because i'm in a rush between heats and i forgot that the pack i stuffed in was for a different car w/ different polarity etc and let out the magic smoke. Seems like a noob thing to do but hey so far it has made me look twice every time i solder.

Been racing rc on and off for 20+ years .

Sorry for the double post, but if you run into problems or have questions on where to get parts or setup help, there is a jrxs-pro thread or you can pm me, i had a pro all last season.
