Recoil is a cool car, but it is not 1/10th scale (if that matters).

I would also have to give the nod to the Cyclone S. I bought my 6 and 9 year olds each one and they have beat the snot out of them. Only broke once and ampdraw got the part here quick. Down side to them is find a lhs that stocks parts.

The TC4 and XXX-S are both very good cars, fine for bashiing and good for entry level racing. Biggest plus is parts are everywhere. LHS will definitely have parts.

quick question. A 19T brushed motor is the same equivalent of a 19T brushless motor in terms of power?

And about your 19T question, there is no brushless 19T.

10.5 and 13.5 brushless motors are closest to good 19T brushed motors. here in the USA, ROAR has adopted the following if I'm not mistaken:

Stock: 17.5 Brushless / 27T brushed

Super Stock: 13.5 Brushless/19T brushed

Modified: 10.5 brushless and below

But check your local tracks and see what they'll be running there

Actually, there are no direct equivalents between brushed and brushless. ROAR wrote their rules using the closest motors grouped... 17.5 and 27 turn is stock class (and yes, 27 turn can be faster than 17.5). Super stock is 13.5, and people are allowed to run 19 turn motors in this class for this year (along with 10.5). Any motors that are below 13.5 turns are modified class. If motor companies decide that some market needs to have a 12.5, it would still not be super stock legal. Not meaning to nit-pick, but those are the rules.

ok if the rules allow both brushless motors and brushed. But the rule is 27T till 19T brushed allowed. The 19T brushed should be the 10.5T brushless?

which ROAR will downscale next year making the 13.5 the "super stock" (currently its considered the 19t is the "super stock" and thats whats changing).
