need info on IB 3600 cells, safe to use?
I'm wondering if these cells are ok, since I've been hearing stories about the larger IB cells (4200 I think) blowing up.
I'm looking at getting an SMC IB 3600 SP 7.2v pack since it seems a good deal at $33.99
Only info that I have on this pack is that it may be a 6C rated pack.
Last time I checked SMC website it said something about no longer carrying SMC due to safety concerns, so this worries me a bit.
I'd be looking to charge this pack at 4.5 amps and no more that that, using it with 15T motors and probably brushless in the future.
So is it an ok deal or would there be a better alternative ? (price-wise)
Thanks

Don't mistreat or overcharge them and you should be fine.
And keep your charge rate in the neighborhood of 6 amps or less.

thanks for the advise. I was going to get some elite cells instead but at this price it seems like it may be worth getting them. By the way, I recall reading about the cell blow up happening somewhere in japan, then recall seeing some pictures of other damaged cells but can't remember which forum was it. From the comments it seemed that the higher the capacity of the cells, the more prompt they were at failing and or blowing up.
