I know there are some probably out there and want to see someones 10R5 with the 12R5.1 Pod and uperdeck pieces from the lipo conversion kit. I am thinking of doing it but I know as soon as I do the 10R6 will be released...

5.1 pod and top podplate are from what i have seen a direct fit
Lipo kit i don't know.
I think you have to drill soem holes in the chassis.
Or depending on motor choice you could run shorty lipo's(2S)

regards Roy

You do have to drill holes and make a plate. I used the top, the stands and the top pod plate.

Finally some pics of my 10r5 with my own tube conversion! The plate is drilled also for access for easy adjustments to the pivot ball (football) without removing the rear pod top plate!

Top makes them! The holes line up perfectly to the original 10r5 battery brace, you just have to countersink the holes a bit more in the chassis.

Would this body be legal for World GT? It is 200mm wide and would fit a World GT chassis like the RC10R5 well.

a local club might let you run that body for fun, but wgt specs the use of one of three bodies i think.
most commonly used would be the protoform sophia.

Right. According to ROAR rules, only the Protoform Sophia, Parma Aston Martin and McAlister Ferrari are legal. Stupid rule, but that's it. Personally I think any body representing a car that competes in GT class for ALMS or Grand Am should be legal. Then you could run Porsches, Ferraris, Corvettes, Vipers, Ford GTs and so on.

someone makes a corvette you can run too. didn't know about the ferrari body, but nothing wrong with sophia. its available everywhere and handles pretty good.
as far as club racing goes, im pretty sure no one will care what body you run unless your in the top 3 of the amain ha. im sure if i wanted to run a peterbuilt truck body on my nt1 no one would care until i start winning races with it.

would be kinda fun to run a scale wgt class. allow any body style found on gt cars just with wgt chassis/tire and electrics speced.

Protoform used to make a nice Corvette, but it's been discontinued.
