I have noticed the hub issue on my 12r5 and my 10r5 i just replaced the screw on each one with a screw from dubro and they work great now.

Hey Andy, nice to see more 10R5's being turned into wide type chassis... Nice job!!!

Well, I just can't resist to show my wide chassis R5 now then... Maybe it was already displayed here somewhere but that is not important... I only used all the hardware from the R5 and built a complete custom carbon fibre chassis around it that holds saddle-pack lipo's. On top sits a Nissan P35 body...

Enjoy!

Cheers, Joost.

It doesn't only look good, it is fast as well!. During last weeks Dutch National Championship he got first place with it in the pro10 stock 10.5t and 2s lipo. Mathijs also on here got second with his Corally ng. I got third with my "old" associated rc10l2 with damper tubes conversion. Note that the car from joost is a 235mm car with a wide pod. Not a small pod with extentions like the crc genx

Weather was nice and sunny and the competition was very close. During qualifying the times were very close, all in the 17 seconds. Fastest speeds were in the 85km/h (52m/h) region on the straight (with a 10.5t).

It was a great day for pro10.

Absolutely! I was indeed very pleased with the speed and the handling of the car. In the finals, Mathijs and I were the only ones to drive it to 18 rounds in 5 minutes and I drove 18 rounds in 5.07 which is very similar to modified TC 4wd 5cell!!! That's what my friend Harm told me at my place and he is also a race director on the MACH track. When you hear that kind of information, it is very pleasing.

@Espresso1967: Like Alexander already said, this is a full wide pod chassis. Don't get me wrong here. The CRC is a great and fast car but IMHO CRC could have made a better solution for the wide version than they have done now with the hub extensions.

It was indeed a great day in Holland for the Pro10 class... Laptime track records were set (two times by Mathijs an me) and the modified Pro10 class have made laptimes faster that the IC 1/8 scale cars normally ar doing!!! The weather was great, organisation and race directory was great, the overall ambiance was superb!!!

Joost.

What is a good setup to start with running a 13.5 Lipo WGT?

Depends on the surface your racing with...on high bite carpet, you may have to go quite hard with the front and side springs, on asphalt my experience has shown, that the basic setup from the instruction manual is a good starting point.

Has anyone tried using a 1s lipo in their RC10R5, and did you have to make any setup changes to allow for the reduced weight?

Thanks
Skiddins
