Default What Lipo Charger to Buy ?

I need a charger for Lipo batteries in my touring car.
Will be using it for club racing mostly.

What chargers work the best and are the most user friendly ?

Also what is a good bang for your buck lipo pack ?

Thanks

you can never go wrong with the ICE charger. It's cheap, easy to use and can safely charger all the current lipo's on the market. Best bang for your buck may be the orion 3200 pack. It has dropped in price and fits in most TC's. I'm sure others will chime in and give you their opinion. Take note of everything said from other racers....then do some homework on the products listed and make your choice from there.

Good luck.

Default lipo charger

go with the hyperion 610i it has a built in balancer hey dude i would and as much as i like the ice it does not have that , as far as lipo goes depends on what you are doing ( racing or bashing) racing i would get a roar legal one and bashing just about any of them would work for ya , i like the max amps my self HYPERION IT HAS BUILT IN BALANCER AND YOU SHOULD BALANCE YOUR LIPOS

If you run a LiPo you will need to invest in a Balancer..... So my vote is for this charger with the balancer built in...

http://www.racing-cars.com/usa/produ...ecnumber=48703

It is a great charger.... No extra stuff in the bag....

Why waste your money on an ICE when you can get so much more very nearly the same price?

AC/DC
Charger
Balancer
Hyperion!

Tht's right. Me and another frd have decided to get the Hyperion. Main thing is cause it's upgradable software.

Oh yeah, that too! You can upgrade the software with your computer, and you can hook the charger to a computer to get a ton more information, graphs, etc. than you'd ever care to see.

You guys should be ashamed for suggesting the ICE to anybody, there are much, much better choices out there in that price range. And nobody cares about motor break-in stuff anymore.

rather than preaching personal beliefs most of us posted our opinion on what we've used that would fall into the category. You have yours and we had ours. Difference of opinion....and I got my ice NIB for $50 so I guess I'm a lucky one. I can honestly say that I haven't seen that charger in the pits at any of the club races I have attended. You might have a diamond in the ruff but as of right now the ice might be the more popular choice. Again...just another opinion.
