Default Whats a TL XXX-S Worth

A guy I met at the track has a xxx-s roller he wants to sell, i have no idea what they are worth. I am looking for an awd on road and this fits the bill. I asked him what he wants for it, and he told me to research the car, and shoot him a price. He said he traded some parts for it, so he doesnt know what they sell for. Any help would be awesome.

TIA

I have a Losi XXX-S that I bought new in 2001, when it was the top of the line car. There have been 2-3 generations of on-road AWD touring cars since then and unfortunately the Losi, while very capable and a good car, is heavy and outdated. Losi still sells it as an RTR, but I think has stopped producing parts and there is very little aftermarket support as most companies have moved on.

You can find plenty of parts for it still, especially on places like Ebay, but I would say that for a car in decent shape $75 is more than fair, and that's if it is complete (complete roller, no electronics - ESC, motor, servos). If it's in super awesome shape or comes with a lot of spares, then you can add $30-40 to the price.

I bought two, an XXX-S G+ and a regular XXX-S for $180 mid last year. I purchased quite a few spare parts on ebay really cheap as well. Ended up trading it all for the Academy buggy I'm trying to move now.

If it's a plastic chassis car (non-graphite) I wouldn't pay more than $80-$100 depending on how many spare parts he's got to offer.
