Obviously, you know about the downward angle; so, that's not it.

I remember having similar issues with one side of my Gen-X 10 upon initial assembly.

I took everything apart so I only had the two parts to deal with. Got it fully threaded with a 1/4" blade screwdriver; and then disassembled it to put everything together.

Bought a complete spare front end and never had a problem assemblying it.

I can visualize a specially design screwdriver that would do it...no problem. Maybe CRC is listening...again...LOL.

Get the original aftermarket kydek bumper from Manutech. Do not get their new improved (and too heavy) version.

If you have two of the top pod plates, you can superglue them together to have the same effect as the new thicker one. Use longer screws to fasten to pod.

I personally dont run the 1s lipo, but I thought all the 1S lipos had the "bumps" on the bottom of the battery? If it does then I would use the battery tray designed for the Sub-C cells. That would allow you to move the weight back and forth. You could also look into the bracket that takes up 2 sub-C cells so you can run your speed control at the rear of the car instead of on one of the sides.

I find it easier to first go counter clockwise until the thread "clicks", then turning clockwise. Sounds simple, but since I have done this I havnt cross threaded a single plastic part.

So far, no special tray from CRC or anyone else...me thinks...

For the TP5000 1S pack (no bumps), I used the solid molded battery tray and cut out a section of the slotted battery tray to firmly hold the pack in place at the front end of the tray. It is held in place with servo tape. My ESC sits behind the pack and rests on a Center Mount Speed Control Plate #1772.

The 2mm standard top deck for the rear pod and the front steering knuckles are weak spots. Get the new 4mm Top Plate #1764 and a 2-3 sets of the Steering Blocks #3251 (They come paired as left and right side components).

For 1 cell Lipo to fit, just cut out a square Foam block and double side tape it one on top and one on bottom if needed. simple and clean look.

For the 1s SMC40/25s this tray works pretty nice. You will also be able to lower the upper deck a little if you want, or add some foam to the bottom of the upper deck. http://www.manutech.info/151104specs.html

Is one better than the other or is there no real difference ?. I did notice the TQ booster is smaller than the novak . Also does the TQ unit increase the power to 6 volts like the novak unit ?.

I picked the TQ one because of its size. Im not sure about the output voltage. I can measure it for you later today if you really wanna know.
