my dad only buys me stuff when its my b-day or christmas or graduation and stuff like that. But other than that I have to buy most of my stuff. But it is nice knowing that i bought all of my stuff on my own. Now im saving for a better controller. Right now Ive got a mx-3 but I want to get an m8 with the novak switch. Ive spent about $1000 total on my xxx-s and batteries and a charger , controller, ect.

Cool I'm running a xxx-s too, but haven't changed anything, plus it's the rtr version. What electronics do you have in yours?

I run a team1 dyno tuned revenge of the monster, with an airtronics Mx-3 radio system, and a futaba mc800c speed control(basically a quantum competition,I think?!)My dad got me the original kit for christmas. It was fun to build! Ive bought the threaded shock bodies ti-nitride shafts. I have the red bumper with the kydex brace. I slapped my dads mod in my car and turned my belt into threads so I bought the yellow one. Right now i have 50 wt oil all around with blue spring up front and silvers in back. Its addicting!

How long have you been involved in rc cars?
long time ago...since i was a kid my dad got me RTR kits which i randomly drive around the house

-How many cars do you own?
4...TL01 (im trying to get it to work to rally!) TB01 (in horrible condition)...my evo and an AE 1/12 which im not so proud of

-How much money on average have you put into rc cars?
like 200 a month?

-Do you race?How often?
yea i race...but i had only done so once...i was gonna before but i forgot to ask.....our track has races every 2 or 3 months sadly

im 14!! yea usually i get big stuff for my bday...i had to get my evo for xmas AND my bday cuz it was 1900 hk...but i also got a bb gun that my dad got from a toy convention. usually i get tires and stuff and parts that break on regular basis...and some spares my dad finds at some hardware store and it's much cheaper than hobby shops.

racing, two and a half years

cars,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,cant remember

spend on average about 50 a week

racing,,,,,every saturday at SoCal, and if i can find a ride, tuesday as well

man, how many "kids" are in this hobby? I thought I was one of few "kids" that raced

my problem is budget, being fifteen and having to pay for myself with out a job is kind of harsh, I really can't do much because I want to spend all my money at the track to try to keep up with the other guys that have jobs and can buy tires every race day!

another thing, once you start to win, you are hooked on this habbit for life!
