You said it.....thats you ropinion alright!Where do you race smartazz?I am from the bay area, and have found the takeoff tires are just as good in sorex in certain situations.Your opinion is a narrow one.

Both are great tires it just depends on what is fast at your track. I think the one thing that makes a big diference is inserts Takeoff has excellent inserts for there tires I have found that pit Shimizu inserts work really well in the sorex tires and the takeoff inserts work really well in sorex tires to

The best thing to do if you can afford it, is to have both with several diiferent inserts. I use both every week. It just depends on the track surface, how hot/cold and if it is clean or not.

My 2 cents..

Peace,

in my experiences the sorex tires work the best the majority of the time. I have been to a few tracks where the takeoff's work better though

It all depends on track conditions. Some tracks like Sorex tires, while other like Take-offs. From what i've been told, it you use the Take-offs, use the insert that comes with them. I know that most of the fast guys that race on a consistant basis in the bay area use both tires. I recommend that you purchase a set of 32R sorex and a set of C-27 take-offs. This way, you'll have both tires to chose from depending on track conditions. Goodluck.

In my experiences I've found that the Sorex's work better on carpet than the TakeOffs. I use the T/O's in the summer for parking lot racing.

Default Depends on the carpet.

There are 2 carpet tracks within an hour of each other and one track prefer the takeoff tires and the other sorex/pits.Soin reality, there is no definitive answer.Opinions don't mean much.Hard data does. But saying sorex/takeoff don't compare is wrong.Likebigdog said,it depends on where you race.

Default sorex tire vs. take off

In general:

'Sorex' tires work best on SMOOTH Asphalt and do NOT like Concrete.

Take-Off's seem to work better if the Asphalt is not completely smooth and are GREAT on Concrete.

Otherwise they are BOTH great Tires.

Most of you are correct, but the bottom line is really on the condition of the track for outdoor, weather, how smooth is the asphalt, and etc......, and for carpet both tires will work. I myself like both brands.

pops & milf are right, & if it tells you anything, lately I've started using BOTH brands at the same time with good results(Sorex 32R's in front & Take Off CS-22's rear, the Sorexes actually calmed down the steering on my car).....
