i think his post was referring to the building of the diff. you'd need to sand the diff rings (shiny metal part of the diff that sandwiches the diff balls) so that they're not too smooth. this is so that the diff balls can "roll" rather than "slide" on the diff ring.

in what conditions do you find it advantageous?

Tight tracks, with low power, like 13.5 up wards at a guess.
Has any tried it out there with a 10.5 bl?

Hi all,

How is the chassis flex in the tb03? I been thinking about getting one to run against some locals that don't seem to think a tb03 could compete against there high end cars been on the fence about just getting a tb03( I love shaft drive for 17.5) or maybe waiting to try the ta05 v 2. Thanks!

tb-03 chassis is very solid compare to tb-02 and ta05. ta05 v.2 has nallower chassis so it sould be more solid then old ta05 chassis.

Tamiya has released the carbon reinforced tub for the TB-03. that will make the car even stiffer.

Thanks for the replies,

Sweet, I will get a tb03 then I already have a killer setup in 17.5 for my Evo so it should transfer over without a snag I hope. I don't have any experience with IFS front but thats why they have spring kits heheh I'm going to keep it box stock accept for springs and suspension block and that stiffer chassis if i think the car needs it. Hope the kit shocks work decent, if not I'll put my 416 shocks on it. Man I'm all excited now haha

THANKS!

1. try to set with 0deg toe-in/out. i use a hudy set-up system for this... can't rely on turnbuckle linkage values since it differs from car to car...
2 & 3. Camber, so far i've found -4deg in front and -3deg in the rear to get somewhat even tirewear. use a camber gauge for this.
4. running 12mm push rod linkage at the moment...

removing the rear right wheel, then remove the turnbuckle so you can swing the upright down and gain access to the thrust screw?

Default shock question

when building the shocks i noticed that when you put the spring on there is to much space and it moves up and down about 3mm. its like the shock piston is to long. i tightened the ends as far as they would go on. i have this problem on all 4 of the shocks. if i add more spacers the ride height is to high. any help would be appreciated

also would the mamba max esc fit, and would it be ok to use it with the stock motor?
