I to have just picked up one of these to race this summer on our out door track. I was told about the battery issues some not fitting. I am going to make my own brace as well to fit whatever battery I choose.

I just got my exotek upper in the mail and I think it will give more clearance for batteries. I'll check tonight and report back.

Look forward to tinkering with my new ride!
Use a shorty lipo, a lot of room to spare.

Thanks for the input. I Received my Exotek upper and since its alot more narrow than the stocker it looks like my venom bullet connection packs will work. I did have to dremal out the battery holders a little bit but they still work. I have my 17.5 murfdog coming in and can't wait to see what this little guy will do!

Figured I should update this if anyone should find it later.

My murfdog was DOA (bought it used) and ended up swapping in an LRP 17.5. Gearing was (26/69) and everything worked pretty well. After some laps checked temps and everything was very cool. Moved up to 33/69 and really got some speed back!

Car handled pretty well. My older smaller lipo fits fine but using a gen ace is not going to happen. A shorty could help if foam was added to the front or rear but really dont want to invest in a new battery for just 1 car at this point. Ended up tapping a wall and noticed that the pass side knuckle ball popped out due to a crack in the plastic. Need to repair for more testing!

Glad to see someone posting in here..

Just wanted to give everyone here a heads up that RCSoup.com will be putting one of these together to play with and do a review, etc. Then it will be in our charity raffle towards the end of the year.

We're still looking for a power system, so it might be a little bit before we get stuff posted. Keep your eyes peeled on the site though, and we'll have it up eventually (when we get everything for it).

Can you get by with a standard servo in this thing?

Can anyone tell me if there is a mini sedan body that will fit the Genetic. Maybe where and part #, please! Thanks
